IGES, in collaboration with the Hyogo Prefectural Government and Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN) organised an international forum titled "SDGs International Forum for Biodiversity" in Kobe, Hyogo on 24 October 2023.
In the Fifteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD-COP15) held in December 2022, the Kunming-Montreal Biodiversity Framework, new global goals on biodiversity, was adopted.
The objective of the forum was to seek appropriate ways to implement SDGs at the local level (Circulating and Ecological Sphere) with residents and business sectors in Hyogo Prefecture through sharing the latest domestic and international trends toward the realisation of Nature Positive and exchanging advanced initiatives and knowledge on biodiversity as a local issue.
