The “Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework” (GBF), approved in December 2022, is expected to guide national biodiversity strategies and action plans (NBSAPs) worldwide until the end of this decade. IGES, with guests from the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), presented a webinar exploring the significance and implications of the GBF, and its implementation challenges. An opening presentation overviewed the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the GBF, and NBSAPs. The speakers then had a discussion, and responded to live questions and comments posted by registered participants.
