Training workshop for Third Party Entity under the Joint Crediting Mechanism in Indonesia

The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (CMEA) of Indonesia, and Indonesian JCM Secretariat jointly organized the “Training workshop for Third Party Entity under the Joint Crediting Mechanism in Indonesia”, on 26 September 2019. 

The aim of this training workshop was to improve the capacity of local Third Party Entities (TPEs) in Indonesia under the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) . CMEA shared the latest updates on the JCM in Indonesia, while IGES introduced the difference between the JCM and the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), the JCM rules related to procedures of verification and validation, and the JCM methodology. Later, the TPEs worked on several examples of verification and validation as a practical exercise. Participants from the private sector and government agencies also engaged in active discussions on verification and validation under the JCM. IGES contributed to enhancing the capacity of Indonesian TPEs and project participants to implement measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) under the JCM.
