Emma FUSHIMI

Emma has been working for IGES since 1998, at first in a freelance capacity, and then from 2006 as in-house Editor based at Hayama Headquarters. Her work involves Japanese to English translation of IGES-wide documents, notices and reports, as well as general editing and proofreading of a wide range of documents. She assists the Outreach Team to enhance the visibility of IGES on a global level. Emma also contributes to major events like UNFCC COP, G7, GEA, HLPF, ISAP, UN Climate and SDGs Synergies Conference, and assists key stakeholders like Kanagawa Prefecture and MOEJ, incuding supporting international negotiations for the G7 Climate, Energy, and Environment Ministers’ Communique.  Previously to working at IGES, she worked as a Coordinator for International Relations at Kanagawa Prefectural Government, and as a JET Programme Coordinator at the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR) in Tokyo.
