　本稿は、2021年11月から開始する第１回GSTの実施に向け、GSTのパリ協定における位置付けと原則及び第1回GSTにおけるプロセスについて解説する。以下本稿のポイントである。

公益財団法人地球環境戦略研究機関（IGES）は、内閣官房と外務省が意見募集した「持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）に関する自発的国家レビュー（VNR）」に対して、パブリックコメントを提出しました。

SDGsの達成に向けた取り組みを着実なものとするためには、SDGsの実施をモニタリングし、レビュー（評価）し、その結果に基づいて取り組みの改善を図るプロセスが非常に重要であるため、SDGsを承認した国連加盟国は、自発的国家レビュー（Voluntary National Review：VNR）という形で進捗を報告することが求められています。

一般社団法人グローバル・コンパクト・ネットワーク・ジャパン（GCNJ）および公益財団法人地球環境戦略研究機関（IGES＝アイジェス）は、国連の「持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）」について、日本企業の取り組み実態に関する最新の調査結果をとりまとめた、SDGs日本企業調査レポート2020年度版「コロナ禍を克服するSDGsとビジネス」を3月25日（木）に発刊しました。
