The chapter focuses on future scenarios of Biodiversity and Ecosystem nServices (BES) and implications to human well-being in the Asia-Pacific region and account for the unique regional characteristics and national policy making practices related to conservation of BES.
The regional assessment report on biodiversity and ecosystem services for Asia and the Pacific of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES/6/INF/5) was accepted by the IPBES Plenary at its Fifth Meeting in March 2018.
