本研究では、2012年度以来3年間の予定で、リサイクルシステムの持続可能性評価を、環境・経済・社会的な視点から評価するための分析枠組みの開発を試みている。本研究では、まず日本の家電リサイクル法の下でのリサイクルメカニズムを事例に、環境、社会、経済という持続可能性の各側面を評価するための定量分析手法の開発を、ライフサイクル分析の手法を用いて行った。その上で、台湾、中国、インドについても、廃電気・電子製品のリサイクルメカニズムの実態について、調査し、同様の手法の応用を試みているところである。最終的には、国際比較を行うことで、国際資源循環を含む、適正な資源循環の在り方について提言することを目指している。
