Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Policy in East Asia in consideration of International Resource Circulation

The presentation summarizes the main findings of an international collaborative study/survey titled “EPR Policy in East Asia in consideration of International Resource Circulation” which will be published as a report in 2009. The study mainly focused on the application of EPR principles to the management of used electric and electronic products (e-products).
The study consisted from the three parts; 1) analysis of current situation of introduction of EPR policy in Asia which covers mainland China, Thailand, India, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, 2) new challenges for EPR-based policy regarding to international resource circulation, and 3) shift of EPR principle and implication to Asia.
