Role of information platform for integrated lake basin management (ILBM) in Asia: Lessons and pathways for SDGs
Workshop at the World Lake Conference 2018 Ibaraki

There is an increasing need for scientific data and information to bridge the science-policy interface with regards to integrated management of lake basins, and an information platform could have a role in this as well as for tracking the progress on relevant SDGs. This workshop will discuss what would be needed to create and operate such a platform, bringing together unique management and governance approaches of three major lake systems in Asia: Lake Biwa in Japan, Tonle Sap Lake in Cambodia, and Laguna Lake in the Philippines.
