Second training session related to induction furnace technology was conducted

Two managers from Indian forging plants and two researchers from TERI visited Japan from 1 to 8 December 2013, for the second training session on induction furnace technology. The training session was conducted to improve the capability of SMEs to quantitatively understand CO2 reductions and energy-saving impacts. This is achieved through collection, recording and analysis of various data during production process based on the KAIZEN activity manual which IGES created. IGES researchers and the Indian team visited energy efficient companies and received explanations about the efforts on energy saving. The training session included a chance to exchange views, and participants reached an agreement on implementation of KAIZEN activities.
