Programme Manager
Kazuyuki Yagi is a Programme Manager of the Adaptation and Water Unit, Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) since April 2021. His main task is the management of the Water Environment Partnership for Asia (WEPA) as its secretariat, contributing to strengthening the capacity of Asian countries in water environment management.
Academic background of Kazuyuki Yagi is biogeochemistry and soil science. He obtained his PhD in soil science from Nagoya University, Japan, in 1996. Since that, he has worked at the Institute for Agro-Environmental Sciences (NIAES), National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO), and the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS), both of which are located in Tsukuba, Japan. In addition, He worked as a senior researcher at the Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE), King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Bangkok, Thailand, from September 2018 to September 2020.
