使い捨てプラスチック消費を削減する施策に行動インサイトを組み合わせることで、行動変容をより効果的に促進できる。 本ガイドブックでは、アジア4カ国（インドネシア、フィリピン、タイ、ベトナム）で行動インサイトを活用した使い捨てプラスチック削減の取り組みから得られた貴重な学びを共有している。 これら4カ国では、地域の教育機関が中心となり、学生や地元の商店などとの積極的な協力を通じて、革新的なアプローチを実現した。これらのプロジェクトで得られた経験と学びは、多様な状況やパートナーとの連携で実施規模を拡大するための重要な基盤となっている。 また、本ツールキットは、行動変容を促す施策（行動対策）を活用して使い捨てプラスチックを削減するプロジェクトの設計・実施を支援するための実践的な内容を含んでいる。
