2008 Top News on the Environment in Asia
Featuring top news reports from 24 countries in the Asia-Pacific region

IGES is pleased to announce the publication of 2008 Top News on the Environment in Asia. "Top News" is a compilation of important environmental news topics selected by experts from the Asia-Pacific region. The 2008 edition brings 127 articles from three international organisations and 24 countries.

This year, a number of news reports were contributed regarding global warming as the most urgent issue facing the world today. Also various efforts into waste management and environmental conservation were reported, reflecting the growing interests in the region.
