The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) - Hayama, Japan - has launched Policy Brief #10, entitled " Renewable Energy: A Strategic Policy for Sustainable Development ."
This policy brief demonstrates the importance of renewable energy in terms of its multipurpose benefits to the society, environment and economy as a whole. The time has come to accept renewable energy as a strategic policy choice to protect our future in a sustainable manner. No matter how costly it is, its overall benefits should be accounted for when making the final decisions on future energy policy.
