Symposium on TEEB and Green Economy
]Biodiversity, and New Economic and Business Paradigm]

The final version of TEEB (The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity) reports will be published at CBD COP10 - The Tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity held in Nagoya, Japan, in October 2010. The series of TEEB reports was previously informally known as the 'Stern-like Review' on Biodiversity. The study is evaluating the costs of the loss of biodiversity and associated decline in ecosystem services worldwide, and compare them with the cost of efficient conservation and sustainable use. It is expected that the TEEB reports would make a great impact on the content of resolutions that will be adopted at CBD COP10 and future socioeconomic systems.

This symposium featured most latest presentations on TEEB reports by the main authors including Dr. Pavan Sukhdev, Study Leader of TEEB reports, and there were discussions on various issues on CBD COP10.
