IGES Kansai Research Center International Symposium 2009

For significance reduction of CO2 in household sector
-learning from good practices for realizing low-carbon household-

Various groping have started at the country and the municipality level to implement low carbon society. Large reduction of CO2 emission in the household sector is of extreme importance to achieve this objective.
In this symposium,
- Latest information about low carbon city implementation in U.K and other European countries was given.
- "Eco-Home Diagnosis" program, advanced research in Japan conducted by IGES,was presented.
- Given the expected huge CO2 emission increase in India, implementation of low carbon city and reduction of CO2 emission in household sector approaches in this country was discussed.
