Report of IGES Activities at the Ninth Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP9)

The Ninth Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP9) was held from 1 to 12 December, 2003 in Milan, Italy.
IGES, in cooperation with related organizations, held several side events. All events were highly successful in terms of both subject contents and attendance by many participants including researchers, policy makers and negotiators.

Climate Policy Project

IGES Climate Policy Project organized two side events, besides introducing their research and capacity building activities at the exhibition booth.

Capacity Building Programme

IGES Capacity Building Programme had a presentation on the IGES-UNFCCC joint eCourse on Improving Communication and Facilitating Consensus in Expert Review Teams at the COP9 side event "Development of software and other tools to facilitate the reporting and reviewing of GHG inventories" organized by UNFCCC.
