RISPO II National Workshops
The national workshops are being held during February and March 2006, inviting various stakeholders such as the governmental officials, NGOs and researchers who are specialised in the trade and the environment. The objectives of the national workshop are:

1 To present the overall objectives of the RISPO-II project to the participating institutes in Japan;
2 To share the preliminary results of the Policy Review and Trend and Trend Analysis undertaken for each country including an analysis of i) major economic trends and the environmental and social impact of economic development, ii) country policy regarding FTAs/EPAs, and iii) environmental policy trends in each country;
3 To build consensus on the key economic sectors and environmental issues likely to be affected as a result of regional economic integration in East Asia;
4 To present and discus research methodologies employed for the policy analysis and identify the availability of data required for GTAP model analysis;
5 To identify regional and sub-regional environmental issues in which each country could be involved as a case study; and
6 To present the future work schedule and agenda for the FY 2005 (toward the end of March 2006) and in the FY 2006 (Apr. 2006-Mar. 2007).
