The Progress Workshop of the Research Project on the Promotion of Sustainable Development in the Context of Regional Economic Integration
- Strategies for Environmental Sustainability and Poverty Reduction -
Core members, partner institutes and resource institutes of the research project on the Promotion of Sustainable Development in the Context of Regional Economic Integration were invited to participate in the Progress Workshop that was held at IGES HQ on 27-29 March 2006 in Hayama, Japan. The objectives of the workshop were to discuss: i) the outcomes of the national workshops, ii) the scenarios of regional economic integration, and iii) the policy analysis methodologies and linkages between the policy analysis and the GTAP model development, and to agree upon the activities to be undertaken, the role of each institution and the schedule of the activities in FY 2006.
