Workshops on gCustoms Collaboration to Combat the Trade in Illegal Timberh

The peer review workshop on Customs Collaboration to Combat the Trade in Illegal Timber was held on 28-29 October 2009 in Bangkok. The objectives of the workshop were to:
1. Provide expert feedback for the policy report gEnhancing Customs Collaboration to Combat the Trade in Illegal Timberh prepared by IGES;
2. Clarify effective options to enhance collaboration between customs agencies to prevent trade from being a driver of illegal logging; and
3. Prioritize the options and identify ways forward including the most appropriate collaborative arrangements for implementing the options.
