Network Meeting: A Co-benefits Network for Asia and the Pacific

On 3 October 2009, the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) organised a meeting on a gCo-benefits Network for Asia and Pacifich at the Amari Watergate Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Approximately 25 participants attended the meeting, including policymakers and researchers from Japan, the United States, the Philippines, Thailand, Nepal, England, China, and Indonesia.

The meetingfs main objective was to discuss the creation of a co-benefits network for Asia and the Pacific. The network would be designed to facilitate communication between the air, water, waste and climate communities on a co-benefits approach. The meeting featured six presentations on how co-benefit activities could be better coordinated in and outside Asia.
