The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) jointly organised a workshop entitled “CDM-Program of Activities (CDM-PoA)” on 1 July, 2011. The issues presented and discussed in the workshop include: the updates on the rules of CDM-PoA; the updates on the approval process & evaluation of PoA in the Philippines; sharing experiences and lessons learned from a project developer and Coordinating & Managing Entity (CME), and perspectives of integrating PoA into NAMA as an option for further uptake of mitigation activities. About 20 people mainly from the DNA (Designated National Authority) attended the meeting. Each presentation was followed by Q&A and detailed discussions.
