| The Programmatic CDM (PoA) Workshop |
|
 Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and Ateneo de Manila University-School of Government (ASOG) the Philippines, jointly organised a workshop, in partnership with the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of the DENR and the Designated National Authority (DNA) of the Philippines, for developing the Programmatic CDM (PoA) on 6 September, 2010. As a start, IGES introduced the current international negotiation on the CDM followed by the presentation by the Philippine DNA on the current PoA development in the Philippines. ASOG introduced the definitions of the programmatic CDM and their examples covering many project types. IGES addressed PoA validation experience and sampling methods for the currently registered PoAs. In the afternoon, local project developers presented their progresses on their projects and the local validator explained the validation process on CDM projects. IGES moderated the following Q&A session, which was beneficial for the local CDM developers and consultants in that they could communicate with the DNA members and ask them several questions on the PoA procedures. |
