The Regional Workshop on Education for Sustainable Development Policy and Implementation in China, Japan and Republic of Korea
(26 Sep. 2008)
The IGES CDE Project, the Ministry of Environment for Protection (MOEP) and Beijing Normal University in China co-organised a regional workshop on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) policy and implementation at a conference room of Beijing Normal University in Beijing. From the workshop we gained a considerable understanding of how the rapidly developing countries and a developed country are responding or reacting to Climate Change and its education issues which have been addressed by the most developed countries as the great global challenge, although we have found that we still need to go long way to achieve our ultimate goal, a sustainable society.
